About Our Business

High Octane Rentals was started by our family of snowmobile enthusiasts who often invited friends to join us for trips to the mountains or lakes. Our friends often told us that they couldn’t rent the kind of quality equipment they enjoyed with us.

We answered this need by opening a business that provides high-end snowmobile and Ski Doo equipment for rent at a reasonable cost to those who love the sport but can’t justify buying their own equipment. High Octane Rentals continues to expand. We have a rental fleet that will meet the needs and wants of customers of all skill levels for both winter and summer enjoyment!

It’s our goal to allow everyone to have great outdoor experiences by providing quality equipment, fair pricing, and excellent service.

Our Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations over 14 days are eligible for full refund of deposit, less 5% of deposit processing fee.  
  • Cancellations between 7and 14 days are eligible for the same refund ONLY if we can fill the reservation.  If not, then a less 10% of deposit processing fee.
  • Cancellations less than 7 days out receive NO REFUND of deposit. 
  • Cancellation 24 hours or less will be charged the full day Rental Rate. NO EXCEPTIONS.
First, what is your experience level? Second, what activity are you planning to do? Third, what price level are you comfortable with?

We are located near downtown SLC, the closest trailhead is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away. We will provide and load the snowmobiles on a trailer, it is the renter’s responsibility to tow to the trailhead.

Check out time is Monday- Saturday – 6pm the evening before the rental date and return time is 5pm on the rental date. Sunday pickup time is 6pm Saturday evening only and return time is Monday morning at 7am.

We are open from 7am to 6pm Monday through Saturday.  We are closed on Sundays. Weekday and Saturday pickup times are 6pm the evening before or 7am the morning of by request. Return time is 5pm.

Sunday pickup time is 6pm on Saturday evening only and return time is Monday morning at 7am. 

We include a helmet (one per seat) and a trailer at no additional cost. Oil cost is also included in the cost of rental. The cost of gas, Damage Waiver and sales tax is not included. For and additional cost we also offer 2nd seats on particular snowmobiles, avalanche gear, boots, gloves, mono suites, goggles and tunnel bags.

We try to accommodate where we can. We cannot split days (check out noon and one day and return noon the next day) and only charge for one full day.  We do not have an hourly rate rental.  If you do need an earlier check out or a later check in time, and if we can accommodate, we will.
